Yes this has been acknowledged and seen with people, particularly with the young, they tend to let their personal guard down and let everything in that was previously put on restraint.
This unfortunately can cause allot of personal damage to the individual on social and moral grounds and at times may cause long term damage if the personal character is not corrected.
There are in fact good personal guidelines of social behavior within the JWS that are of course obvious, such as smoking, abuse of alcohol and drugs, promiscuous sex to name a few
but there is also a proportionate amount of social behavior that is put on restraint that is not beneficial to the individual in a developmental way. Unfortunately many young people that leave,
fall down badly due to not yet establishing their own identity, the one that the jws laid down was deemed too restrictive and over bearing and made them feel not true to their character,
so they leave that and start to play the role of a wordily profile that they were taught so much about. Personally I think it leaves them in a blank space where the individual doesn't know how
to live a clean and wholesome life style to their own betterment and possibly creates a weak and vulnerable character.....................................my 2 cents and observations
